Well, it seems the weather is on the turn, and we are now enjoying a more traditional English Summer ! I hope you are all well and have enjoyed your summer holiday. Just a few points from me:
Our meeting this week welcomes Peter Reece who will be telling us more about the life and times of Samuel Cody, the name of which we are all familiar!
Last month we started our Bring and Buy Table, where you can bring along the glut of produce the you may have, be it baking, fruit or red, plants , handicrafts of even jam where we can raise an extra penny. Don’t forget that you get to take it home at the end of the evening, if it wasn’t sold !
Coming up we have the Hart Centenary Supper, being held on 2nd October. Each WI has an allocation of 10 tickets at £5 per person, so if you would like to attend – please put your name down. If we have more than 10 applicants, we will run a ballot for the spaces. Our era is the 80’s ! If you cannot make the meeting on Wednesday, and would like to attend the supper, please let us know and we can out your name down as we have to give ideas of numbers before the end of the month!
Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday evening,
