Presidents Post – November

Dear All

Tango, Dance, Pair, Passion

Well here we are nearly at our last meeting of the year. This is when we have our Christmas Meeting (27th November) as we don’t meet in December (unless of course you’d like to meet on Christmas Day this year?).This year we are celebrating ‘Strictly Style. We’d love you to come with a ‘Strictly Sparkle’ – be it a ‘posh frock or just sparkly earrings – feel free to sparkle! We will be learning a few Strictly moves in the evening, so dust off your dancing shoes!

Also, on this night we hope to hand over to Jen Lomas representing Frimley Park’s children’s ward – F1 at least 50 Parents Packs. Packs of toiletries designed to make parents unexpected stays in F1 a little easier. If you would still like to donate either by cash donation, we are happy to take on 27th or before by Bank transfer. Please advise Wendy (wiflyerstreas@hampshirewi.org.uk) if you are sending money by BACS.If you have completed packs please bring them on the evening, if you have single items – I am happy if you drop them off to myself. If you email me wiflyerspres@hampshirewi.org.uk  or text me (number at bottom of email), we can then arrange a drop off (or collection time).

We will also be signing the Christmas cards that we are all (hopefully!) bringing along. We have WI-Flyers stickers to add to the cards so that the recipients know about you and where you are sending from. We will then be delivering to local Residential and Care Homes and Day centres. If you have anywhere that you feel might benefit from a delivery of cards please let us know on the night.Delivering these cards is part of the WI’s Alleviating Loneliness campaign.
