I hope this email finds you all well and coping with the ‘lockdown’? In our house we are all fine and I am specially looking forward to going out to dinner and to the cinema. Who knows when this will be? Also to resume normal WI meetings.
The committee have been meeting via Zoom and discussing the way forward for the WI-Flyers. So, we have a plan! We are hoping that you can all access Zoom the online sharing platform.
If you have a smartphone you can download the app. When you have set that up just click on join meeting and put in the meeting ID number and password and off you go…..you will admitted to the meeting from a ‘virtual’ waiting room.
If you have a laptop or PC then all you need to do is click on the link we send you and you will be admitted that way. No need for an App. Just keep following the instructions. Please let me know if you have any problems and I will see if there is anyway we can help.
Our first Zoom meeting will be on 27 May at 7:30pm when we will be hosting a Quiz. So get your self a drink and maybe some snacks (alcohol works for me!), a pen and paper and sit back and answer some questions.
On 24th June we have Ben Fielding from Blucando (based in Farnborough) Ben is going to talk to us about cyber security. Again 7:30 and again you will be sent an invitation.
On July 22nd we have booked another Zoom meeting this time a cookery demonstration – we have booked Debbie Towlson who will show us how to make macarons. I am really looking forward to this demonstration as I really like a nice macaron!
We’ve finished making the scrubs for Frimley Park – and well done any of you who made them I know they were much appreciated.
Would you like to join us for a virtual coffee morning? You will have to bring your own coffee and cake – but it would be nice to see you for a chat. We will set a date and let you all know.
Please let me know how you all are – I would love to hear from you. We miss seeing you all at meetings.
Hopefully see you at our Zoom Meeting soon
