We are setting off from

Crondall Church [Croft Lane GU10 5QF]

and aim to get to The Hampshire Arms in time for a nice pub lunch.

We’ll be striding out every couple of months so do come and join us – stretch those legs and blow out the cobwebs.  And, of course, dogs and husbands are more than welcome!

Social Sewing Event @ Hartley Wintney WI Hut
May 11 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
In the more rural areas in India, there is extreme poverty. New mums who have just given birth, rarely have any sanitary or underwear to go home in. Kate an English midwife  is on a two year placement is somewhat horrified at this situation and is looking for help.
We can help by donating NEW knickers, making washable sanitary towels and cotton bags to be given as packs to the new mums.
On Saturday 11th May we will be opening up Hartley Wintney WI Hut between 10am and 2pm, for as many Hart Group ladies to come along with their sewing machines to help make the lives of Indian new mums more comfortable.
We will need volunteers to bring
Sewing machines
Thread (polyester)
Pins & needles
Scissors
Irons and ironing boards
Patterns will be provided.
For those who aren’t sewers but would like to be involved there will be plenty of other jobs including keeping everyone supplied with refreshments!
If you have old but clean
Cotton
Towelling
Fleece
That you are happy to donate please could you let us know, as although we would like enough we don’t want to be inundated either!
